To cure the gel polish, a UV or LED lamp is often used, but recent research has suggested that these gel nail dryers may come with a significant health risk.

We were inspired by a rug we saw Cosmopolitan creative director, Abby Silverman post on Instagram called Wavy by Pieces by An Aesthetic Pursuit with a 70's vibe. It reminded us of our iconic Chasing Rainbows that Salem Mitchell wore in Cosmopolitan. The stars aligned and Abby's personal manicurist, Elizabeth Garcia aka @nails_byely was introduced to CliqOnU. We don't believe in chance. We DO believe in fate.

Fall is the season when we get to reset beauty as it is the style's new year and that means it’s the perfect time to try something new. This fall the fashion world is very much experimenting with various fall nail polish colors like never before. The fall fashion industry is trying out darker makeup palettes, which is bringing elevated fall inspired nail styles for press on nails this September, October and November.

We were coming out of the initial lockdown of Covid, and outdoor restaurants had just opened with restrictions. After 4 months of Ground Hog Day, what better place to lunch than Soho Malibu. The sun was out, we could hear the ocean waves, and we were enjoying one of our first moments of being face-to-face with other human beings, in what felt like a VERY long time. We had just launched CliqOnU amid the pandemic and were excited for all that was to come.
